The change of season is a perfect time to switch things up in the home. Everyone wants to snuggle up and get cosy in winter which i suppose i should be using the word i cant actually pronounce “HYGGE” I know right who even am i, I claim to have a interior Insta account and cant even pronounce Hygge.
Changing things up with the seasons doesn’t mean you cant be true to yourself and your style. New bedding is key and a great way to make that switch up without feeling you need to decorate a whole room. I love bright pops of colour which wouldn’t necessarily be the winter tones we would think to generate to but on those gloomy days trust me its a real pick me up.
This will come to no surprise that if something has Pom poms or tassels you know it will be coming home with me, when i saw the Pom Pom trim on this Catherine Lansfield quilt set it was a must have. Even though I love a pop of colour i never buy colourful bed sets, there’s something about those crisp white sheets that keeps me coming back for more plus its a great base colour. Ive added colour and texture though the Catherine Lansfield Chenille Cushions in pink and blue and the contrast velvet cushion in ochre on one side with a grey reverse to switch it up depending on your mood.
the woven stripe blanket is unbelievably soft, cosy and the calming blue tones is not only a perfect addition to a bedroom but the colour ties in beautifully with the Farrow & Ball Hague blue wall.
With the nights drawing in so early we are putting our lights on by 4pm i love the vintage light bulb look. They aren’t bright but they add a beautiful glow to a room which trust me is super comforting and a real must to achieving that winter Bedroom snuggle worthy feeling. My advice for you in layer up and snuggle down.
Thank you to Catherine Lansfield for gifting me the bedding, blanket and cushions. My review is completely my own and i only accept items that fit the style of my home.
