I’m here to talk Mother’s Day gift guide, the day is fast approaching (Sunday 31st March to be precise) and I thought I would share with you my Top 5 alternative Mother’s Day gift to buy. Every mother loves a potted plant or a bouquet of flowers with a box of chocolates but sometimes you have to write a blog post to share what you want, so that’s what I’m doing and I will probably forward this on to family for my birthday this summer.
Here is a selection of items I am completely lusting over at the moment, all in completely different price brackets for whatever your budget. Let’s dive in.
1. W.A.GREEN LONDON MOHAWK PUNK MATCH STRIKE £48
I am a huge W.A.GREEN fan, lets just say they was my go to shop for my Christmas decorations in 2018. They never disappoint when it comes to the eclectic homeware and when i saw the Jonathan Adler Mohawk punk match strike i was screaming hallelujah. I myself am a massive scented candle lover and this to me just sets the scene. If your mother is also loves a scented candle maybe this could be the perfect gift for her.
2. MARGO IN MARGATE PRINT £20-£45
This is for the mother who loves her prints and art. Ramsgate based artist, Margo in Margate is an Instagram Interiors account must have. Margos colourful quirky designs really suits any interior setting and I for one want more of her prints in my home. There is a print design for everyone at such affordable prices.
3. TINDESIGN RATTAN MIRRORS £20
TINDESIGN is a eclectic home ware store here in my hometown of Essex, don’t fret they do have a fabulous online store that certainly packs a punch. Here i have chosen these two beautiful rattan mirrors for the mother who loves to nod at the latest trends.
4. H&M HOME TALL BUBBLED VASE £17.99
Oh H&M HOME, you are my weakness (apart from Gin and chocolate) they never fail especially when it comes to home accessories. Last month I saw they did this bubble vase in cream and i was OBSESSED but now they have released it in two new colours, mustard yellow and green.
At such an affordable price you will certainly upstage your NOT so on trend sibling who just bought flowers.
5. DAVID SHRIGLEY LIFE IS FANTASTIC TEA TOWEL – TATESHOP £35
Here we have the wild card gift, I know what you are thinking, that is a blooming expensive tea towel and yes i would have to agree. My eyes water at the thought of this being used to even dry my wine glasses. David Shringleys art is completely out of my price range but for those of you who follow me on instagram would have seen this grace the walls of my newly painted living room. Framing tea towels is a great way to make the art you lust after but cant quit afford, affordable.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for some alternative Mother’s Day gift guide.
All thoughts are my own, i was not paid to feature on of these items on this blog post.
