When it comes to buying lights it can be rather costly. Especially if you want to make a real statement.
Working on my dining room revamp I saw this as the perfect opportunity to have the electrician change a couple of the ugly ceiling lights we inherited with our home.
With a project list as long as my arm, I needed to keep the cost as low as possible.
Whilst searching the internet I found some really beautiful brass lights that are all under £100. If you too are in need of some lower budget ceiling light inspiration I may have found you a couple of gems.
PAINTED CEILINGS WAS ONE OF THE INTERIOR TRENDS THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOREVER BUT REALLY TOOK OFF IN 2019.
I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU THR REASONS TO PAINT YOUR CEILING WITH COLOUR.
Painting my ceiling completely transformed my living room. It was a way for me to add drama and colour to the room without being overpowering.
WHATS THE BEST WAY TO KICK THOSE JANUARY BLUES IN THE THE BUTT…. WITH A DINING ROOM REVAMP OF COURSE!
Its that time of year, Christmas feels like a distant memory. It’s dark, cold and rainy so to brighten the mood I’m going in for a full dining room revamp.
THERE ARE LARGE ONES,THERE ARE SKINNY ONES, THERE ARE SHORT ONES, THERE ARE LONG ONES…. WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT? HALLWAYS OF COURSE.
The last hallway update was late 2018,when my love for Farrow & Ball Hague Blue was at its peak. Admittedly I still have big love for Hague Blue but I do become bored very easily. Instagram and Pinterest can often make you feel like a child in a sweet shop. I’ll have one of those and one of those and before you know it you’re decorating the same space multiple times a year.
I started to question myself, if you love Hague Blue then why change it? Why not find ways to update the space without decorating.
When the online print store Posterlounge contacted me about a collaboration I saw this as a perfect opportunity to use prints as a way to update this space, more on that a bit later.
Recently I embarked on another room revamp, the master bedroom to be exact. I am a huge wallpaper lover but I am also a decorating addict.
If you are like me you will naturally turn to paint for your room revamp, before you pick up that paint brush let me tell you about removable wallpaper.
For those who have followed me for a while would know I love to play with colour. The living room has needed a refresh for a while now. My style is very eclectic and I love to clash colours with pattern but the problem I faced was how was I going to introduce colour when I had so much colourful furniture.
A year ago almost to the day I was ready to throw out our much loved brown leather sofa, this sofa was bought a few months after my second child was born in 2009.
Children don’t just prematurely age you, they prematurely age your furniture too.
Im going to take you through the process, how to, was it worth doing and how has it worn a year on.
